Cox, Moore Debate Healthcare

The two leading candidates for governor of Maryland squared off this week to give their views on a number of issues including healthcare. Republican Dan Cox pointed out audit findings alleging fraud in the state Medicaid program…

“Our current governor, people need to understand, $865 million dollars according to an audit has been fraudulently spent in Medicaid in Maryland. That’s this governor’s budget. That’s on his watch.”

Incumbent Democrat Governor Wes Moore directed his response to moves by the Trump administration…

“The support of the Big Beautiful Bill, the support of this Trump agenda, an agenda that you have said you support 100%, this is brutal and it is brutality. And we have to make sure we are protecting the health and the welfare and the safety of our people.”
