Capito Visits New Ridgeley Volunteer Fire Department

Through the efforts of West Virginia U.S. Senator Shelley Moore-Capito, $2.8 million in congressional directed spending will help the Ridgeley Volunteer Fire Department erect a new building. Capito visited the location Thursday morning and told WCBC News that a new station is overdue…
“It’s outlived its usefulness in terms of the type of equipment that they have. It’s old, it’s got a leaky roof, it leaks in the back. It wasn’t even built as a firehouse, and they are gonna build a brand-new state of the art firehouse that hopefully will last for another fifty years.”
