Governor On Pre-Election Tour

Maryland Governor Wes Moore is on a swing through the state, primarily in Republican Red voter areas.  On Tuesday, Moore met with local business leaders and then stopped at the Rosenbaum in downtown Cumberland to meet with locals and candidates. He tells WCBC that voters aren’t looking at the R or D when what they want is results…

“I don’t come from a political background and so I know that anyone who just kind of like swallows a party talking point is frankly I think not thinking hard enough. I don’t think political parties and allegiance to political parties is how people think about their lives.”

Moore said voters want to know they’re being taken care of…

“Who’s making sure that we can have safe streets, who’s making sure we can invest in infrastructure, who’s making sure that when crises or disasters happen that we have a functioning government, both state and federal that’s going to be there to help us get back on our feet.”
