Medicare open enrollment is underway through Monday, December 7th, a time for those who qualify for Medicare Part D to choose a plan for the upcoming year.  Dr. Bobby Mahajan with the American Lung Association spoke with WCBC News about shopping new options before signing up this year…

“In 2027, the Medicare Part D plan caps out-of-pocket costs at $2,400.  In addition to that, instead of having to go and pay for every one of your medications when you go to the pharmacy, there are other options which allow you to kind of spread out those costs over the year into monthly installments.”
