Virginia Avenue Trespassing Arrest

On Friday October 30th, 2026 at approximately 10:15 p.m., officers from the Cumberland Police Department responded to a business in the 400 block of Virginia Avenue regarding a male subject who refused to leave the property after being told to do so by officers. The intoxicated male eventually complied with the officers’ order but returned shortly thereafter. He was subsequently placed under arrest. In police custody, he failed to identify himself after several requests. He was transported to Central Booking and eventually identified as Brett Michael Poindexter. Poindexter is currently awaiting bond review.
