Maryland’s Board of Public Works has approved a $355,000 grant to develop programming space for the new History Discovery Center at Blue Spring. During the meeting, Governor, Wes Moore, Democratic paused the proceedings to single out Allegany County Historic Societies project as one he personally supports…
“For the Allegany County Historic Society and their Discovery Center because of that you know it’s not just helping out the tourism space but it really is, I mean they’re serving children there you know. They’re really using it as a business hub, community hub. It’s all part of a larger 5-year strategic plan so they’re very happy, so it’s really well done.”
