19-year-old Arrested for Drugs and Firearm on Arch Street

The Cumberland Police Department, in collaboration with the Allegany County Combined Criminal Investigations Unit (C3I) and the Cumberland Emergency Response Team (CERT), executed a search warrant at an Arch Street residence today, as a result of a multi-week investigation.

During the search, law enforcement officers seized a firearm, ammunition, and a quantity of cannabis from the premises. Based on the recovered evidence and intelligence gathered throughout the investigation, 19-year-old Tyler Alexander Lambert of Cumberland, MD, was arrested and transported to Central Booking. Lambert was later seen by the District Court Commissioner, who ordered him held without bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.

Lambert was charged with the following criminal offenses:

  • Possession of a regulated firearm being under 21 years of age
  • Possession of a regulated firearm after conviction of a disqualifying crime
  • Possession of ammunition being prohibited
  • Possession of Cannabis with intent to distribute
  • Possession of a firearm in conjunction with a nexus to drug trafficking
  • Possession of a controlled dangerous substance
