24,000 Jobs Supported By Commerce Supported Programs

The Maryland Department of Commerce says their finance and tax incentive programs helped support over 20,000 direct, indirect, and induced jobs last year. More than 830 businesses utilized programs from the commerce department and invested $434 million dollars of private capital into projects across the state. The figures include 13,000 direct jobs in Maryland supported by tax credits and other programs. Manufacturing created and retained the most jobs.
