ARREST WARRANT SERVED

On Saturday, January 17, 2026, the Cumberland Police Department served an arrest warrant on Timothy Mejias. The warrant was issued as the result of an incident that was reported on January 14, 2026 at approximately 3:20 PM. Officers responded to a business on Park Street for a theft. The staff advised that the male suspect stole merchandise from the store and left the area. Police were able to identify the suspect as Timothy Mejias. Police filed for charges against Mejias at the District Court of Allegany County. He was arrested and later seen by a District Court Commissioner for a bond hearing. At the conclusion, Mejias was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center on a $2,500 percentage bond.
