Arrest Warrant Served

On Sunday, June 7, 2026, the Cumberland Police Department served an arrest warrant on Christopher Reuschel. The warrant was issued as the result of an incident that occurred earlier in the day at approximately 5:59 AM when officers responded to a residence in the 100 block of E. First Street for an assault. Police contacted the alleged victim who reported that she was assaulted by Christopher Reuschel. Reuschel had left prior to police arrival. Officers observed that the victim had sustained injuries. After further investigation, police filed for charges against Reuschel at the District Court of Allegany County. He was later located by officers and arrested. Reuschel was seen by a District Court Commissioner and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center without bond.
