Arrest Warrants Served

On Thursday, May 20th, 2026, An officer with the Cumberland Police Department observed an individual walking on Columbia St whom the officer knew had active arrest warrants. The officer stopped and addressed the subject who then fled on foot. He was apprehended a short distance away without further incident. The subject, Carl Nelson Bohrer, 50, of Cumberland MD, was charged with obstruction, hindering, and resisting arrest. Bohrer was also served with two Bench Warrants, both issued by the Allegany County Circuit Court on May 7, 2026. Both warrants allege Bohrer violated the terms and conditions of probation imposed due to a previous convictions on charges of CDS distribution and firearm/drug trafficking. He appeared before a District Court Commissioner for an Initial Appearance and was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center. He is currently being held without bond.
