Attorney General Files Suit Over Detention Facility

Maryland Attorney General Anthony Brown has filed a lawsuit against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the Department of Homeland Security.  The lawsuit follows an administrative subpoena for records related to unlawful conditions at the ICE facility in the Fallon Federal Building in Baltimore.  Brown says they’re investigating whether civil rights violations have occurred to detainees…

“We allege that ICE’s refusal to produce records violated its own regulations and was unreasonable, arbitrary, and capricious, and contrary to law.  We’re asking the court to declare their stonewalling unlawful and to order ICE to comply.”
