Ballot Amendment Coming For WV Voters

West Virginia voters will be going to the polls this November with the opportunity to vote on a constitutional amendment. Amendment 1 would limit voting in state elections only to citizens of the United States who are citizens of West Virginia. The amendment follows a joint resolution that was passed unanimously in the last General Assembly. It also clarifies that minors, individuals declared mentally incompetent by a court, and those convicted of treason or felony or bribery in an election would be unable to vote.
