Bedford Inmate Death Investigation

An investigation is continuing into the death of an inmate at the Bedford County Correctional Facility on Monday. Ellis Bohrer of Warfordsburg was arrested on July 29 on rape and assault charges.  The inmate was found dead in his cell on Monday, apparently by suicide. Warden Joseph Eichenlaub said the Pennsylvania State Police will be heading the investigation of the incident. The Bedford County Coroner will be determining the exact cause of death.
