On Thursday, March 26th, 2026, the Cumberland Police Department arrested Edem Nassirou Akakpo, 24, of Cumberland MD. Akakpo was arrested on an active Bench Warrant issued by the Allegany County District Court on March 18th, 2026. The warrant alleges Akakpo violated the terms and conditions of probation imposed after a previous conviction for unauthorized use of a m/v. He appeared before a District Court Commissioner for an Initial Appearance and was released on a $2,500 unsecured bond.

ARRESTED –  Edem Nassirou Akakpo, 24yo.
CHARGES –  Bench Warrant-Violation of Probation.

On Thursday, March 26th, 2026, the Cumberland Police Department arrested Robert Paul Bennett Jr, 38, of Cumberland MD. Bennett was arrested on an active Bench Warrant issued by the Allegany County Circuit Court on March 20th, 2026. The warrant alleges Bennett violated the terms and conditions of probation imposed after a previous conviction for intoxicated endangerment. Bennett appeared before a District Court Commissioner for an Initial Appearance and was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center. He is currently being held without bond.
