Bench Warrants Served

On July 24th, 2026 the Cumberland Police Department served a bench warrant on Joseph Adam Staples. The warrant resulted from a grand jury indictment against Staples for CDS distribution. Staples was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center without bail pending trial at Circuit Court.

Bench Warrant
On July 24th, 2026 the Cumberland Police Department served a bench warrant on William Glenn Bickling. The warrant resulted from Bickling failing to appear for court on July 23rd, 2026 for original charges of disorderly conduct and failing to obey a lawful order. Bickling was placed under arrest and transported to the Allegany County Detention Center. He was later presented before a District Court Commissioner and released on an unsecured bail of $1,000.00.
