Board Of Public Works Approves Project Spending
Maryland’s Board of Public Works this week approved monies for a number of projects in the Western Maryland region. Funds were approved for the expansion of the Savage River State Forest that would protect the Casselman watershed. $90,000 was approved for new playground equipment at Clear Spring Elementary school. The Gene Mason Sports Complex in Cumberland received $30,000 for improvements and money was made available for an ADA-accessible overlook at Piney Reservoir.
