Bond Street Assault Arrest

On Sunday June 21, 2026 at approximately 12:03 AM, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to a residence on the 200 block of Bond St. to investigate a reported domestic assault. Officers contacted the alleged victim. The alleged victim had visible injuries and reported being assaulted by Samantha Nelson. Nelson was located inside the residence. While effecting an arrest on Nelson; she actively resisted. After a brief struggle Nelson was taken into custody and transported to Central Booking. Nelson is currently in detention at the Allegany County Detention Center waiting to be seen by a District Court Commissioner for initial appearance.
