Boone Street Assault Arrest

On Monday, June 1, 2026, Cumberland Police Department Officers responded to a residence on Boone Street for the report of a domestic assault. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with Dion Alves and the victim. Once the investigation was completed, Alves was placed under arrest for assault. He was transported to the Allegany County Detention Center, where he is awaiting his initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner.

ARRESTED: Dion Anthony Alves, 54, Cumberland, MD.
CHARGE: Assault Second Degree.
