Business Owner Still Seeking Pedestrian Safety

Local business owner Chris Myers continues to look for help from the City of Cumberland over what he considers safety issues with construction areas downtown. He told the city council Tuesday that he’s not addressing the contractors, but rather pedestrian safety and that council is not taking the issue seriously. Councilman Jim Furstenberg said the city should be looking for answers…
“I think, Chris, we should look into it and always improve. Always improve. I don’t have the answer for you, that’s the people downtown, the ordinance people, whoever, is that we’re always looking to improve.”
