As Bishop Walsh School prepares to conclude its school year, high school students are participating in a tradition today that dates back to 1991.  Principal Jen Flinn told WCBC that students would have a busy day…

“The high school students celebrate Community Service Day in the morning. They do service here at school and around town. And then in the afternoon they have a little bit of fun out at Rocky Gap and it’s just a nice way to end the year and to help our community.”

Students at the elementary and middle school levels also have a special day today with activities aided by parents, according to Mrs. Flinn…

“Our elementary students do fun fairs which is kind of a field day carnival and the PTO plans that very well and the kids just have a blast. The middle school students also participate in that.”
