Canal Place Will Focus On Local History July 4th

At Canal Place, several events are planned throughout the day ahead of the annual fireworks display tomorrow evening. Food trucks, a beer garden, dedication of a Liberty Tree and a time capsule burial are planned.  Canal Place Marketing Director Kim Folk says local history will also be highlighted with Champ Zumbrun and other speakers…

“He’ll be speaking about Michael Cresap history. The National Park Service will be giving canal history. We really tried to roll our history into the significance of the 250. And then we have Al Feldstein, a local historian who’s going to do local history and some trivia.”
