Chesapeake Bay Health Improving

The University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science says the Chesapeake Bay earned a C+, its highest grade in 40 years in the 20th Chesapeake Bay and Watershed Report Card. Overall watershed water quality is improving over time for fish, crabs, and wildlife.. Maryland Department of Natural Resources Secretary Josh Kurtz pointed out ways everyone in the state can help the health of the bay…
“Understanding the property that you have – where you can preserve trees, preserve native vegetation, that’s great for the bay. It’s getting engaged with your community, understanding what your community needs. And also helping us understand how we can best implement some of our programs.”
