City Engaged With State and Federal Leaders

This week, Mayor Ray Morriss will be attending a town hall sponsored by the Maryland Municipal League. Morriss has been on the board of MML for five years and tells WCBC such events put the city in front of state leaders to discuss local issues. He also said he and city engineer Bobby Smith traveled to Washington to meet with federal leaders on Cumberland projects…

“We also personally met with April McClain Delaney, we personally met with Senator Alsobrooks, so we have developed relationships to the federal level. And I think that’s important that people understand that we are engaged with all levels of our government.”
