On Friday, August 7, 2026, the Cumberland Police Department served a bench warrant on Samuel David Goetz for failure to comply. He was originally charged with CDS: possess paraphernalia, CDS: possess-not cannabis, disorderly conduct, assault-sec degree, and disturb peace – loud noise. While effecting the arrest Goetz was searched incident to arrest and suspected methamphetamine was found on his person. He was issued a criminal citation for CDS Possession Not Cannabis. He was later seen by a District Court Commissioner for initial appearance in regard to the warrant and is currently being held without bond at the Allegany County Detention Center

ARREST WARRANT SERVED

 

On Friday, August 7, 2026, the Cumberland Police Department served an arrest warrant on Miranda Elaine Skinner. The warrant was issued after an officer conducted a theft investigation. The alleged victim reported that their Chime bank card was being used for multiple fraudulent transactions. The investigating officer reviewed security camera footage at a business where the card had been used. Skinner was identified in the recording by the alleged victim. Skinner was later seen by a District Court Commissioner for initial appearance and was released on an unsecure bond of $5000.00

CRIMINAL CITATION

 

On Saturday, August 8, 2026, officers of the Cumberland Police Department observed William Morgan Stewart Sr. on Sheetz property after being previously served with a letter from the business banning him from the property. He was issued a criminal citation and released.

 

ARRESTED:  William Morgan Stewart Sr. AGE:  43       Cumberland, MD

CHARGES:   Trespass: Private Property

 

 

BENCH WARRANT SERVED

On Saturday, August 8, 2026 the Cumberland Police Department served a bench warrant on Eric Roger Marmaduke for Failure to Appear.  He was originally charged with setting up bedding outdoors at any time with the intent to sleep at that location MO/PLL 6666. He was later seen by a District Court Commissioner for initial appearance and was released on personal recognizance.
