City Recognizes Bishop Walsh Mock Trial Team

Bishop Walsh’s Mock Trial Team won their second consecutive Maryland State Championship this year. The team achieved a perfect 26-0 record and it is the team’s third state title since 1990. Team members received recognition from the Cumberland Mayor and City Council recently. Coach Tony Orndoff told the council that they compete with well-funded private schools as well as public schools…
“Park School out of Baltimore County and big-time public schools like Eleanor Roosevelt and Bethesda Chevy Chase. It’s a real point of pride for us. They work incredibly hard. They come in on Saturday mornings; they come in Sunday evenings for practice, and it’s a testament to all of their hard work.”
