City Starts Sports Center Study

The City of Cumberland has chosen a consultant for the study process of the long talked about Sports Center for the community.  Through a grant obtained by the Cumberland Economic Development Corporation, City Administrator Jeff Silka told the Mayor and City Council during Tuesday’s Open Work Session that the study for the project will be conducted over the next six months…

“Their grant is $63,000.  Our match is with the $30,000.  So, we have it funded for $30,000 to start the process of determining if it’s feasible to pursue the Sports Center.”
