Columbia Street Domestic Assault Arrest

On Monday, June 1, 2026, Cumberland Police Department Officers responded to a residence in the 400 Block of Columbia Street for the report of a domestic assault. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with Katlyn Brooks and the victim. Once the investigation was completed, Brooks was placed under arrest for assault. She was transported to the Allegany County Detention Center, where she is awaiting her initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner.

ARRESTED: Katlyn Elizabeth Brooks, 29, Cumberland, MD.
CHARGE: Assault Second Degree.
