Commission President Says Everything Was Per Protocol

At last week’s Allegany County Commissioner’s meeting, commission candidate Kit Pepper Lescallette questioned the revision of a lease with Frostburg State University, saying it was not voted on publicly. WCBC’s Dave Norman reached out to commission president Dave Caporale who said everything was done in public meetings and saved the county money as well…

“It was ran through a work session, they negotiated the terms for it and brought it to us and we approved it. It was that simple. To say something that there was neglect or anything else, it’s just wrong. And plus, the issue that she’s questioning we negotiated down from $500,000 to $100,000 to finish that deal with Frostburg State so I think that was a good deal. How somebody could complain about it is beyond me.”
