Continuing Investigation On Baltimore Street Fire

Saturday’s fire at a structure on Baltimore Street in Cumberland caused half-a-million dollars in damages. The Maryland State Fire Marshal continues to investigate the cause of the fire Saturday afternoon at an abandoned 4-story apartment building. The two-alarm fire took 60 firefighters an hour to contain. The design and location of the building made access difficult for suppression efforts. Reports indicate the fire started on the second floor.
