Could WV Consider 24-Hour Roadwork Shifts?

Average road projects may take months to several years to complete working day shifts, Monday through Friday.  Mineral County Delegate Gary Howell told WCBC News that he and other officials recently had conversations with the West Virginia Department of Highways about adding shifts to cut project durations…

“Instead of just one shift—so you’re working an eight-hour day—what happens if we go to twenty-four hours a day where possible.  Instead of taking twelve months to finish a project can we get it done in four months or five months because it is an inconvenience to travelers.”
