County Receives Grant To Help Kingspan Project

The Allegany County Commissioners have entered into a grant agreement with the Maryland Department of Commerce for a one million dollar grant that will further the construction of a rail spur at the new Kingspan Roofing factory in the North Branch Industrial Park.  County Economic Development Director Jeff Barclay said construction of the rail spur was pivotal in bringing the industry to the area…

“They spent $13 million dollars of company money to buy the building and $30 million plus in making modifications to the building and then for equipment. And, not to forget that within three years, we should have 95 new well-paying jobs there.”
