County Submits Transportation Priorities

Allegany County has sent its letter of transportation priorities to the Maryland Department of Transportation for the coming year. System preservation, capacity and expansion, along with feasibility studies, safety projects, and bike-pedestrian street projects are included as well as transit development. Whitney Patterson, County Public Works Engineer, noted five projects had to be set as top priorities…
“The Route 40/Route 36 pedestrian safety project, the Great Allegheny Passage slope stabilization, drainage, and surface improvements, Allegany County Transit operating and capital funding, and the Frostburg Depot Street and tunnel feasibility study.”
