Crash Victim Succumbs To Injuries

Members of the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office and emergency personnel responded to a two-vehicle crash on Saturday on Ellerslie Road. The driver of one of the vehicles, 80-year old Donald Lee Propst, Sr. sustained serious injuries and was transported by Maryland State Police helicopter to Ruby Memorial Hospital for treatment. Propst later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The operator of the other vehicle, a juvenile, sustained minor injuries. The matter remains under investigation by Cpl. Jacob Martel of the Allegany County Sheriff’s office Crash Reconstruction Team. Anyone who witnessed the crash or has additional information is asked to contact Cpl. Martel.
