Criminal Citation for Littering

On Sunday, March 22, at approximately 11:27 hours, an officer with the Cumberland Police Department was conducting foot patrol in the area of the George Washington Headquarters and the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad. During the patrol, the officer observed a male, later identified as Leon Frank Corley, throwing several items over a section of fencing. The officer made contact with Corley and subsequently issued him a criminal citation. He was released pending trial at the Allegany County District Court.
