Criminal Summons Served

On Monday, March 16th, 2026, the Cumberland Police Department served Gregory Mark Denton with a criminal summons for traffic-related hit and run charges. The summons was issued as a result of an incident that occurred on March 10th, 2026 when officers responded to the 500 Block of N. Mechanic Street for a hit and run complaint. The victim reported that another vehicle struck his, causing damage. Officers developed and identified Gregory Mark Denton as the suspect. Cumberland Police filed charges against Denton at the Allegany County District Court Commissioner’s Office and a criminal summons was issued. Denton signed for his copy of the criminal summons and was released pending trial.
