Criminal Summons Served Assault, Reckless Endangerment

On June 18, 2026, Cumberland Police Department officers served Whitley Wright with a criminal summons related to assault charges. The charges were filed with the Allegany County District Court Commissioner’s Office following an investigation into an alleged assault at a residence in the 400 Block of Arch Street. During the investigation, officers interviewed a victim who reported that Wright assaulted them and caused injuries. Based on the investigation’s findings, the Cumberland Police Department filed for charges at the Allegany County District Court Commissioner’s Office, and a criminal summons was issued. Wright signed for her copy of the summons and was released pending trial.
