Delaney Fights Off Trone For D-6 Win

Having the endorsement of the Maryland federal delegation, the Maryland governor, and other political leaders helped to lift Congresswoman April McClain Delaney to a primary win over former Congressman David Trone.  With 67% of the vote in, news outlets are projecting Delaney will now face the projected Republican winner Robin Ficker in the November election.  Delaney spoke to her supporters before the race had been called, noting the national implications of the race.

“This is just the first step, in actually, the progress towards flipping the House in November.”
