Delaney Never Wants ICE Facility to Open

Congresswoman April McClain Delaney has been in the forefront fighting the proposed Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention center in Williamsport, Maryland, Now, its fate lies in litigation through Attorney General Anthony Brown’s Office.  Delaney says the litigation is due to zoning issues, but other concerns could be raised as well…

“I also think that there is a legal right in terms of constitutional and human right issues, and that could be taken up, I think, in a different way—perhaps in a federal sense—but for right now, it is stayed, and it is my hope that it will continue there until it just never is built.”
