Delegate Pushing Back On High Energy Bills

Kathy Cornwell

Maryland Delegate Justin Ready says the Empower Maryland project should be paused or done away with because while it is purposed with developing renewable energy sources, it has instead become a largely failed slush fund that takes money out of consumer power bills each month. He says the Republican caucus is working to change some of the laws handicapping energy sources…

“We are working on trying to get ore nuclear energy. Our Republican caucus is going to continue to push to take the shackles off of things like natural gas, and we have to be sure that some of these coal plants that are currently really important to our energy grid in Maryland that are supposed to go offline, they need to stay online.”
