Fayette Street Assault, Reckless Endangerment Arrests

On September 23, 2026, officers with the Cumberland Police Department responded to a residence in the 700 Block of Fayette Street for a reported assault. Upon arrival, officers observed visible injuries on two alleged victims. One victim reported being assaulted and strangled. The second victim reported being injured by a knife and was transported to a local medical facility for medical treatment. At the conclusion of the investigation, Chaunce Dylan Teele was arrested and transported to the Allegany County Detention Center, where he was remanded without bond. An application of charges was submitted to the Allegany County District Court Commissioner’s Office for the other party involved, Kaitlin Elyse Bruckner, and an arrest warrant was issued. She was later taken into custody and transported to the Allegany County Detention Center, where she was remanded without bond.
