Ferguson Points To Vulnerability of Relationship with Feds
Maryland Senate President Bill Ferguson says that affordability is one of the main focuses of the General Assembly this session, along with growth and taking care of Maryland workers. The president told reporters at his weekly press conference that the state needs to rethink the many ways it has interacted with the federal government since that relationship has seen changes in the last year…
“It’s easy to rely on what works. And I think what we’re realizing now, particularly over the last nine months is what we thought we could always count on which was stable federal employment, and it driving Maryland’s economy – it is not as easy to rely on, and in fact is something that has become an anchor for us.”
