Firefighters Memorial Will Be Open For Annual Ceremony

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has confirmed the campus of the United States Fire Administration will be open for the 2026 National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend, scheduled for May 2–3 in Emmitsburg, Maryland. Congresswoman April McClain Delaney and other representatives had urged Homeland Security to keep the campus open to the public, especially for the memorial service that will honor over 200 fallen firefighters. Access to the memorial was in question due to funding issues.
