A local dog rescue is in need of the public’s assistance after winter storm Fern caused damages at the property. Happy Go Lucky Mastiff Rescue in Flintstone is turning to the public for help after snow took out power and damaged shelters for 15 dogs, according to volunteer Megan Kern…

“During the ice storm, she lost three dog kennels – their roofs collapsed which has not happened ever before – they’re metal-frame roofs, so she is down, I would say, $5,000 in dog kennels.”

Kern has created a GofFundme account for the rescue, and has a goal of getting power restored to the kennels as well as a sturdier structure…

“Get her enough exposure and enough donations to build her some sort of pole building or large carport with a real roof and permanent shelter.”
