Flu Hitting Children Hard

The rate of children visiting doctors’ offices for the flu has hit a 10-year high, according to the Centers for Disease Control. More than 18-percent of those visits are children under 4 years old. “Current annual flu vaccines are not perfectly matched with the new variant but still provides protection against serious illness. A CDC study found 90% of children who died from the flu last year were not vaccinated. Pharmacies reporting a run on tests. Demand for over the counter cold and flu medications and at-home testing kits jumped 155-percent over the last three weeks.”
