Fraud Alert For EBT Card Holders

Allegany County’s Department of Social Services is alerting the public to a phone fraud related to EBT cards. Bad actors are contacting customer and requesting EBT card information, falsely claiming that benefits will be terminated if the information is not provided. Social Services will not call customers requesting such information. If you have received a call from an 800 or 866 number and provided information, please call 301-784-7000 immediately.
