Free Heart Health Program For County Residents       

The Allegany County Health Department offers a free Healthy Heart Blood Pressure Monitoring program for any Allegany County resident 18 years or older dealing with high blood pressure.  Haley Guillot with the health department says the program encourages individuals to track their blood pressure regularly and offers guidance to help lower their numbers…

“We have, like, nutrition seminars once a month talking about the Dash Diet with our dietitian here at the Health Department.  We have a support group.  So, these meetings are all group based now, so, you’ll be talking with other people who have the same problem, and, you know, exchanging ideas and getting ideas from them too.”
