FSK Bridge Collapse Remembered
The Governor of the State of Maryland recalls being awakened by a phone call just after 2am on March 26 and realizing a catastrophic event would change Maryland history. The collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore closed a core artery for transportation and one of the biggest shipping ports on the East Coast. Thursday, the Governor asked for remembrance of the lives lost and looked to the future…
“It’s been two years since our brave first responders confronted a crisis with absolute courage. Two years of unwavering commitment to response and reconnecting. Two years of proving we can do in record time what they always said would take longer. Two years of standing together Baltimore Tough and Maryland Strong.”
