Gov. Moore authorizes $200,000 to bailout College Students

Maryland’s Democratic Governor Wes Moore announced a plan to offer expedited admission across to the University System of Maryland. Plan Fast Track expedites the application process to any public university in the University System of Maryland and targets roughly 250 in-state students affected by recent enrollment cancellations after missing payment deadlines with the state contributing $200,000. Taxpayers are asking why assistance is being provided to students from a private institution when local in-state students already face high tuition costs. Governor Moore’s administration responded saying that this is a measure to keep local students on track to graduate without losing a semester.
