Governor Encouraging Litter Cleanup

The Maryland State Highway Administration is encouraging Maryland residents to help preserve the state’s environmental resources including streams, roads, and the Chesapeake Bay. A new push to keep roads and highways clean of litter includes billboards, radio spots, and social media posts prompting residents with the theme “Respect Maryland Roads. Don’t Litter.” The campaign features a message from Governor Moore…
“Here is a reality check. In previous years, Maryland has spent more than $17 million dollars cleaning up litter on our roadways. Your trash is costing Maryland cash. Respect Maryland roads. Don’t litter.”
